A film is or should be more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later. Stanley Kubrick

Super 8
Super 8 isn't something new, we've seen it before.
Super 8 is what I like to call a meatloaf movie. Why you ask do I call it a meatloaf movie? Because it has a crap load of similarities we have already seen.
The film is a mix between E.T., The Goonies and Close Encounters.
It seems like Producer Steven Spielberg has ran out of original ideas so he dug up the scripts from some of his older movies ripped out the different parts from each and threw Super 8 together with the help of Director J.J. Abrams.
The first 80 Min's of the movie was okay. There were parts that drug on and there were only a few scenes that kept my attention.
The last 30 minuets was the worst. I was expecting this movie to be somewhat of a suspense thriller that included an alien, which it did and that it destroyed everyone and everything in sight which it did until the last few minutes of the film when it changed its mind and took off in its space ship and left everyone alone. What the crap???
What kind of ending was that? I don't understand why for the first hour of the film we are given a plot that could turn out to be a real horror flick and then turned into an after school special about how its okay when things don't go our way and the alien's heart grows 3 sizes and leaves in peace.
If you ask me the movie should have been titled Super Lame because it was.
Enough Said.

The Conspirator
Based on True Events following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, The Conspirator tells the story of the events leading up to and during the trial of Mary Surratt who was held accountable for harboring the Assassins who plotted to kill President Lincoln.
In this film James McAvoy gives one of his best performances as Frederick Aiken the man who was given charge to defend Mary Surratt (Robin Wright Penn) but refuses to do so knowing that she is already guilty for not alerting authority's on the secret meetings that were held in her boarding house that involved her son John Surratt as well as John Wilkes Booth.
Frederick is told if he can prove Mary's innocence then he will not have to be her attorney at the trials that are to take place.
As Frederick investigates the events leading up to the one of the most horrific events in our worlds history, he will discover that not only could Mary be innocent but that he may try to save her before she is sentenced to death for a crime she may not have committed.
Director Robert Redford did an Incredible job with this film. He kept the story fast paced and full of suspense till the very end.
The Conspirator proves to be one of the Best Pictures of the year!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
I'm just going to say it, I liked this movie.
True all of the Twilight films are a bit cheesy in their own way, but the plot and most of the acting is pretty good.
I at first did not like either Robert Pattenson or Kristen Stewart for the roles of Edward and Bella however with each twilight movie release they started to grow on me.... yes even Bella's awkward sighs and stuttering don't bug me as much as it used to.
I don't really have to explain what happens in the film because everyone has already either read the book or has seen the other movies prior and knows what to expect.
Their are a lot of haters of the Twilight Saga and I think they are a bit harsh, I mean really the movie franchise isn't as bad as people think. Just go with it and have a good time, even if you find yourself laughing at some of the more serious parts.

Footloose
In all honesty I don't know why I expected to like this movie?
I wasn't a fan of the original and now I know why, it wasn't that great of a movie the first time around.
I'm going to make this review short due to the fact that there isn't much to praise here.
The acting was corny big time.
The idea that a small town would band dancing because of a car wreck? that would never happen.
and finally the thing that made this movie totally a waste is none other than Julianne Hough. She was terrible in so many ways. Her acting was beyond horrible and she did nothing but try to prove she can be a slut.
And one other thing this movie didn't have enough dancing to keep me entertained.
So if you really think you want to see this movie wait for it to come on cable television because it will arrive very soon.

Jack and Jill
So here is the thing, Jack and Jill. Is it supposed to be one of the best pics of the year?
Is it supposed to be taken seriously as a movie? Not really.
Is it by chance one of those films that is to be enjoyed and not over thought?
EXACTLY!
I used to look up to film critics, but not anymore because their opinions are always wrong.
I loved this movie! The one thing that I loved more than anything about it was that I didn't have to think for two hours!!!!!
I was just able to sit back at the end of a long week and enjoy myself by laughing!.
I love Adam Sandler and anything that he puts together because his films are filled with non stop laughs and Jack and Jill was all Laughs.
Who cares if the movie isn't Oscar material? Who cares if Sandler plays a woman?
In my honest opinion that is why he is so funny, because he doesn't care what others will think of his movies.
He cares about the people who love off the wall stupid humor.
To make it short, if you are having a crappy day and want to do nothing more than laugh, then go see this movie. It sure made my day
